  Here in the US, gift tax is paid by the donor if the gift exceeds $11,000 in a calendar year.
  
  I don't think they are doing anything wrong. Just building assets, keeping certain ones offshore and in low tax jurisdictions.
  
  They don't need that much money. They have housing paid, no expenses and get their asses kissed. Who could want more in life?

  He came with another brother that I went to school with and I knew that guy was a witness. This was in the San Fernando Valley (LA area). He would wear all black and a hat and drove a big black Mercedes.
  
  I also sat in back of Damon Wayans at a Sunday talk years later.

  ok ... to me it's not totally related to jw life actually, i'm here because i'm used now to chat with people (you know like you go into a cafe and share wathever you want with whoever as this board is very rich and full for immediat interaction), support them, get some support ... i just like that ... also of course it's very interesting at the same time to follow some news and get information that i might spit back to my familly in time to wake them up .... what about you ?

  So I look at it as an admission that the WT is not the voice of God or inspired in everything (anything) it says. It would be foolish to allow them to "after the fact" pick and choose which items were inspired. Either you are inspired and directed or you aren't, plain and simple.

  the article that bothered me the most was when they said if you work in a doctors office you must report to the elders if a brother or sister comes to the doctor with a (questionable) problem..

  i read this comment by galaxy7 in an older post, never heard this before.

  does anyone know which publication?.

  If it happened, the person should sue the pants off the witness in order to have "a chilling effect" on the rest of the witnesses and give them some solid fear if they even think of doing it!

  Don't be hatin on the informal language. I rarely use accents and tildes unless I am writing something formal but always spell proper when writing in English as they don't have those punctuation marks. Online language seems to be pretty loose all over, at least to me and my friends.
  
  The WW gang is a bunch of losers. Oh my goodness. There is one couple that is hillarious!!! A super fat white girl with the typical mental disorders and a totally skinny black dude that is like 4 feet tall and 80 pounds whilst wet (she is like 5 times him). They met online and only met in person the day before their wedding!!! Is that nuts or what? Did somebody call Jerry Springer yet or shall I look for his 800 number?

  WW board changed hands. I can't say much but the old owner knows what is up. The old owner is very cool, she is my girl (friend) and I love her to death!!!
  
  Her and I got alot of crap for tellin it like it is. Most on there are mentally deranged, physically unattractive sheeple that have no lives and are not in the realm of reality.

  I'm thinking of going back

  over the weekend my cousin came to visit from mi, and her husband (elder) started to do his shepperding thing with me (have not attended meetings for over 1 year), and made a compeling argument about how the holy spirit is given by god only if you attend meeting and go to field service...etc, etc.

  and the whole "faith and works" issue.

  it was a different angle that i have never heard before, about me being a "instrument or tool" of god...blah, blah, blah... anyhow, it got me thinking about going back...especially when things are not going to well for me right now... (he said its because i left jehovah).. how can i convince myself that this is not true?

  Well people can twist anything....
  
  If you leave and do well, they say satan is blessing you and trying to keep you away. If you do poorly, then they say Jehovah withdrew his blessing.
  
  I think maybe you are doing the right thing by not going and fading. There is a scripture that supports your position in life:
  
  Ps. 34:19 "Many are the calamities of the righteous one."
  
  So see! You are righteous and doing the proper thing!

  Ooohhh.... hanging out today with a hot girl I met and not driving 3-4 hours each way to today's assembly like all those suckers!!!!!! hahahahahaha Waking up tomorrow and sleeping in, maybe even even doing the deed and thinking of all those guys sitting in the hall at the same time bored!!!!
